DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA and Nasdaq 100 for the week starting 14th May 2012

Identifying the major support and resistance, trade according to your belief.
Once market crossed the mark, relax, and stay tuned.  There is trading opportunity every week, everyday, every hour.  No rush, patience, and wait for market to unfold the story, make quick decision when the time is near, take 100% responsibilities and accountability of your own trading account.

DJIA

DJIA has marked another bearish candle for the week, and as per our forecast, market found support at 12850 and closed near this level, last done 12820.

Ultimately, DJIA has tested below 12750 and it is now is a bearish tone with the Eurozone turmoil, in line with many other economical threat.

We have observed market rebound at 12750 region, and market was trading sideway in a flag pattern waiting the next breakout.

We reckon market to trade within tightening range between 12750-12920 for 2 days before the next bull / bear emerge.

Resistance 12920
Strong Resistance 13050

Support 12720
Next support 12685
Once break below 12685, target to reach 12530.

Nasdaq 100

Similarly, Nasdaq 100 continued the downfall, achieved our target 2610 and tested below strong support 2795, and finally close at 2615.

This week we expect market to trade in range between 2590 – 2665.
For Monday & Tuesday market is more likely to test current support 2600 before going up to test resistance 2660, I personally favor to long around 2604 – 2609 pts. (against the market sentiment) for a quick trade.

Next is to observe resistance of 2665, if market is bearish, and formed a bearish candle in 4H chart while testing 2665, then I would prefer to short and wait for market to test support 2610-2615 towards end of the week.

Cheers, lets make some money

Sunday~

Another blessed Sunday :)
I am sitting right in front of my laptop since 12.. and I have done some reading, read the headlines of the week on global market, read a few article that grab my interest, then I got distracted a bit, I went to the store room to find what is available for my June holiday.

I check my cabin bag, my backpack, thinking of what should I bring when I visit to Taipei, Taiwan?

Since I am gonna stay in a 4 beds female dorm, on the 4th floor without lift (yeah it needs a bit of walking and/or climbing).. I think I should have bring some light luggage instead.

Take a look at the picture... My backpack is parked side by side to the approved cabin bag size... Since the backpack size look similar to a cabin bag, I think it should not be a problem if I bring them up to the aircraft...

Why would I need two bag instead of 1?  11 days of stay in Taipei, the shopping is going to add up to my return luggage ^__^ after food, and night markets.

the backpack looks cool isn't it.. monotone, with lots and lots of compartments.
and found this little angel someone brought for me from Taiwan two - three years back.  It is hiding in one of the side pocket ^__^

Sweet~~~

End of my side stories... Coming up, market forecast :)

Updates on US30

Market has fallen below 13000 and plunged to 12850 which is also our weekly target.

Expect little support around 12850 and return to 12900.

As per my weekly forecast, i switched from sideway bullish to bearish if market failed to sustain above 12980.

I will Hunt for shorting opportunity when the bear takes a breather and return to resistance 12900-12950.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA and Nasdaq 100 for the week starting 7th May 2012

DJIA

DJIA was trading up all the way to 13338 early of last week, and as per what we quoted - overhead resistance near 13300 is strong, in line with negative economic announcements and euro zone debt woes, DJIA traded down to 13050- a strong support level.

This is a crucial level to watch, if DJIA is not able to sustain above 13050, further correction down to 12850 is within reach for this week.

However, we can only expect some major announcements on Friday, so I forecasts DJIA to trade sideways at the current level, 13000 may be up to 13180 level from Monday to Wednesday.

My preference is still hunting for long, personally, I will observe when DJIA traded down to test 13000 support level, and might want to long if market shows support here, provided that DJIA never trade below 12980, if this happen (trade below 12980), it proves more downside correction is expected and I will change my short term view from Long - to Short and expect to close the short position at 12850 level.

NASDAQ 100

NASDAQ 100 posted a bearish weekly candle. This week, bearish.

R2: 2695-2700
R1: 2642
S1: 2630
S2: 2595-2600

Monday hunt for shorting opportunity using initial shadow at R1 level 2642, SL 2650, and aim to exit at 2610-2630.

Monday, April 30, 2012

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA for Week starting 30 Apr 2012

Early of last week, DJIA tested support 12880 and further dip to 12850 which signifies weakening of market sentiments, at first, we thought market could continue to dip down to 12750 but, market reverses and continue to surge to our target price during remaining of the week.

Resistance: 13280 – 13300

We reckon the top resistance is strong and DJIA could be temporarily supported at 13150.

If DJIA manages to break above 13300, then it could drive all the way up to 13450 which is also the wave target price if we mark April 2012 low as X and 12845 on 13/4/12 as B.

Hunt for long when market retrace to 1/3 near 13150 region.
Abandon Long if DJIA traded below 13050 strong support.

Sunday~~ Full Charge

Surprise, surprise and surprise!

Blogger has revamped new look, I saw the page load and statistics when I log in to the blogger main page, the page load is higher than what was printed on my blog, I guess that was due to my reset of my whole blog in July 2010 when I decides to start all over again and removed the past posts since 2007.

Then I go to the "load from" to take a look at the visitor map... and surprised to know that this forum http://chartistsunited.com/forum/index.php, printed my blog in their blog directories... I do not know who is the author or administrator of this forum and I continue to find out more statistics.

It seems that the blog is driving some visitor from US, Malaysia and Singapore which is quite surprise to me also.

Thanks to the reader and this is my trading journal and I hope in someway it is beneficial..

I have been busy the past weeks - new job scope, performance, dance classes, gathering, relationship concerns, holidays... and I would like to say things start to settle down and I have strike off many "To Do's" from my list.

Watched a movie this morning, and it is good.
"We bought a Zoo"

 Touching and nice...

20 seconds of courage... and Let's do it.  Why Not?
Life is an adventure.

DJIA update Mon 23-Apr-2012

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls

A very good morning from the marine rich, beautiful island - Pulau Redang!

I hv tried multiple times to access the Internet but it takes 1 minute to load a page... And another minute to load a chart...
Reminding me of last decade while Internet is slow and we are all patiently waiting for everything to appear. But with modern technology, we are pampered, and we can't seem to be waiting!

I was lying down on the hammock while reading US30 chart from FXCM, and not able to see DJIA chart. So the levels quoted here might not be accurate.

US30
For the following week, DJIA might continue trading in consolidation within the channel formed since these two weeks and if u can, draw a supporting trendline diagonally up which indicates where it will be supported.

QLast done: 13020
S1: 12950
S2: 12880
R1: 13130
R2: 13250

Long long up up here we go DJIA.

If DJIA broken this supported trendline and trade below 12880 and it becomes Resistance, then DJIA shall continue the slide to 12750 and 12550 respectively.

Cheers

It must not be a choice

Recently I have been overwhelmed with work. Moody.
The task is continuously testing my capabilities, I am challenged because I always think that I have limitation, and I always think that I am lack of resources.

Someone on my FB wall commented, suggest me … to go back to Trading.
Yes, I really hope so, to give up everything, just dance, and trading.

But I do NOT want things to happen this way…
Trading should not be a choice.
Dances should not be a choice.

I simply think that we cannot choose trading, or dancing, because I failed in some other areas.
I just do NOT want trading to be an option.

It is like… going back to your ex and tell them “the new relationship doesn’t work out”.
How does it sounds?

I bet it sounds like “Ewwwww…”annoying.

I am working so hard, to strike a balance between all the things I regard as important in my life… all these activities enriched my life, and I do not want them to become an option.
There are unlimited possibilities, and unlimited happiness if we are able to work out all these 3 things.

It satisfy me, my mother, and my bank account.

And I would like to encourage you to dedicate more, focus more, work hard towards getting what you want, and going full speed to achieving them. When you look back, there are only two things:
1. these are the experiences in life worth fighting for, or
2. they are plain rubbish…
but undoubtedly, you have given them the true meaning with all hard work.

What if it works?

DJIA and Nasdaq 100 Update for Mon 16 Apr 2012

DJIA

DJIA plunged last Monday & Tuesday on renewed Euro Zone debt crisis, it went down to test 12750 main support, formed a low around 12715 and rebounded to 12986 while investor hope another round of easing from Federal Reserves.

Market has suffered the worst 2nd week in this year, and fallen way below 13000, and the market condition has shifted from sideway bearish, to bearish.

We at Ayumi the Novice Trader viewed last Thursday and Friday as technical correction and market shall capped below 13000.

Current support 12700 is still holding up the market and therefore we reckon the technical correction to continue until Tuesday/Wednesday before market decides its next move.

If market is not able to break above 13000, we expect market to extend its losses to 12500; this is the 50% Fibo Retracement level. Currently 13000 act as a strong resistance which is a difficult level to break if DJIA wants to turn to bullish again.

Follow us, visit us again on Thursday for trading insights by Sarah.

NASDAQ 100

Market condition: sideway bearish
Weekly chart: NASDAQ 100 has formed the first bearish candle, and there will be more to come.

Support 2730 has turned into resistance now.

Market will trade sideway between 2700 – 2730, and may revisit 2685, once market break below 2685, we expect market to turn down to WTP 2630 in 2-3 weeks time.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA

US NFP increased by 120k (meaning added 120k jobs in March 2012) – fewest in five months, lower than forecast 207k (previous month 240k), market optimism has turned sour…
after the announcement market has fallen more than >1%.

Read this:
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-04-06/employers-added-120-000-jobs-in-march-fewest-in-five-months.html

From technical chart,
Daily chart: uptrend remain intact if DJIA can maintain above its major support 13000.

Intraday 4H chart: from short term trading - DJIA has fallen below the uptrend support, thus market has turned from sideways bullish, to sideways bearish.

We expect the market to trade below daily chart major support 13000, and expect market to rebound when it touches 12950, however, the rebound would not be strong and limited to previous support 13100-13150 (which has turned resistance).

YM

Similar to Dow, short term view bearish, target to test support 12700-12750.
YM on Broco chart was trading at 12850 last Friday.
Stochastic level is low therefore we reckon market to trade sideways bias up to R1: 12880, R2: 12930.

Daily Trading: Initiate short trade at resistance R1, and target exit 12750 (based on initial shadow)

NASDAQ 100

Support 2730 holding strong.

Stochastic level is high but no signal for drastic downward correct, expect market to continue trading sideways with bullish bias. Due to Easter holiday, market was closed last Friday, but beware for external factors which might pull NASDAQ 100 down. Suggest to stay out.

NQ

NQ has formed the First black candle on weekly chart!
For the coming week, I expect market to trade sideways bias down testing support S1: 2710, S2: 2700.
EMA50 Support has turned into resistance now near 2750 region.

We can choose, we can move forward

It has been a while I don’t read… and it has been a while since I last met mentor JC…
Work, commitment and new assignments have filled my calendar. I am constantly rushing… moving forward, I know, there shouldn’t be rush over everything, there could be something call: step by step…
There were something we need sit down, take time, embrace.. spend time.. and chill.

I read a beautiful article this beautiful morning… allow me to share a few line here with the readers.

Full article is here from The Daily Motivator – Ralph Marston

Lift the future
Just because you can become frustrated, doesn’t mean you must. Just because there are reasons to be angry or envious, resentful or disillusioned, doesn’t mean you have to choose any of those negative states.

Your choice of how to feel does not have to be dictated by the world around you. Instead, you can allow your feelings to come from the beauty that’s inside you.

Don’t base your feelings on the problems. Base them on the positive possibilities.

… Time moves forward, so look forward, and feel the limitless future as it arrives.

Weekly Forecast (FX)

Good morning traders!
Did u switch off for Earth hour last night?

I am early and it is so quiet now… quietness allows me to think best, work best and fast.
I have posted the DJIA and Nasdaq 100 update earlier ^__^ and next! Let’s go to our FX weekly review and forecast.

For the week starting 2nd April 2012

GBP/USD

Happy happy on GBP/USD forecast.
Last week forecast here

Market has found support 1.5810 strong and long trade on Monday is CrazEE!
Market has break above 1.5900 convincingly and all the way to 1.6000 on Tuesday.

It was a roller coaster ride… because market has hit this psychological level 1.6000 and then re-tests 1.5810.
I would be ideal to initiate another long here but I was always hoping for discount, market came down to 1.5850 and rebounded… so, I missed :-P

Momentum is strong and next target for GBP/USD is 1.6150.

We at Ayumi the Novice Trader reckon rally to continue.
Monday will be continual of the rally towards 1.6050, and then I expect a little pull back to 1.5950 – on Tuesday, and aim to long near 1.5950 (wed) and exit 1.6150 for the week.

My colleague has asked me: Olympic work for GBP/USD?
Think about it…

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA and NASDAQ 100 for the week starting 2-Apr-2012

DJIA

DJIA closed at 13212.04 pts. for the week, for the 1st quarter of 2012, the strongest quarter in 2 years.

US Stocks rallied as a result of the ultra-loose monetary policy from US Federal Reserve, Mr Ben Bernanke further added that - more stimulus is required to accommodate the current economy situation; along with the improvement of economic data; summary of all - increase investors risk appetite and more cash in the equity market.

Quote:
“The market can continue to rally into May and the early part of June,” Jon Fisher, a fund manager at Fifth Third Asset Management in Minneapolis, which oversees about $16 billion of assets, said in a telephone interview. “You have all that monetary policy unleashed in the market globally. At the same time, you got a huge improvement in sentiment. Outlooks for the rest of the year are going to continue to be positive.”
Source: Bloomberg

From the economic data front, last Friday there were no major release, Personal Spending rose by 0.8% in February 2012 (more than consensus 0.6%) boosted by the strong employment data. The Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan’s final index of consumer sentiment rose to 76.2, the highest since February 2011, from 75.3 last month.

Next week focus: US Non-Farm Payroll
2nd week of April 2012: Earnings & Report season.

From technical chart:
Weekly: DJIA has posted another positive candle but the range is capped between previous week’s H-Lo range.
Further sideways movement is expected for early of the trading week.
Range expected: 13100 – 13250.

Daily:
Recovery from 13030 regions on last Thursday confirmed 13000 a strong support which shouldn’t be broken below to ensure the rally to next target 13300 and 13450.

However, if market has broken below 13000, next strong support is 12850.

Trading Plan:
Expect support at 13100 region and initiate long with SL below 13000 and ride the rally towards 13250, 13300, and 13450. Check 4 hours chart if market came down to 13100 regions and observe rejection of EMA50.

Beware of NFP on Friday, sit tight for the ride.

NASDAQ 100

Super bull shall continue … ^__^

Support 2740
Strong Support 2713
Immediate resistance 2790 (BKO level)
Target 2815-2820.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA

Last Friday DJIA tested strong support 13000, rebounded, and closed at 13080.73 pts. For the week, DJIA fell 1.2%.

From weekly chart:
DJIA has posted a negative candle and therefore next week although it might continue trading sideways, we expect bias to the downside to test 13000 support again.

From intraday chart (1 hour and 30 mins):
DJIA is currently trading near overbought region and prone to a short term correction.

Resistance 13150
Support 13000

Aggressive short term trader can aim to short near 13120 – 13150, SL 13150-180, expect the market to test 13000 pts. again.

From a broader aspect, market is still trending up, a short term retracement is natural and we expect 13000 pts. to hold market up strongly (Fibo 50%), if this happen, then market will go up to 13250 level again.

Beware of Eurozone debt crisis and outbreak of negative fundamental news - it might affect the market - if DJIA cannot sustain above 13000, then it will go to next strong support level 12850.

NASDAQ 100

Never a black candle!
Nasdaq 100 is going up so strong I see that nothing can stop it.

This week, we forecast NASDAQ 100 both going to test 2720 support or strong support 2700, and then rebound to make a new high this week.

Day Range: 25 pts.
Current support (intraday): 2720 pts.
Strong Support: 2700 pts.

Target for the week: 2740 pts.

Long Long Long :)
Cheers
Ayumi

Weekly Forecast (FX)

GBP/USD

Market didn’t move up as much as we at Ayumi the Novice Trader expected to be. Market has suffered quite a bit of pull back last Wednesday and Thursday morning; GBP/USD traded 40 pips below strong support 1.5810 before it rebounds and close at 1.5870 for the week.

The rebound is not strong and the momentum is not strong enough to sustain the rally unless GBP/USD manage to break above group resistance 1.5900-1.5930.

Stochastic level is normal, so I guess Monday will be sideway, hunt for long near support level and expect to take home 90-100 pips.

Aggressive trader can hunt for Long at 30 pips away from opening, if market opens at 1.5870, then I will queue to Long at 1.5840 SL 1.5800, TG 1.5930 / EOD. Hunt for short at major group resistance level 1.5930, SL 40 pips, TG 1.5830.

Thursday, March 22, 2012

GBP/USD on Thu 22-Mar-2012

GBP/USD

According to my weekly forecast, I shorted GBP/USD when they challenge previous week high, but yesterday, GBP/USD make a new high to hit 2L target 1.5926, and immediately come down to 1/3 retracement, found support.

Beautiful chart pattern. Levels were not far from my weekly forecast. But timing was a bit out of sync with market…

However, yesterday short was quite disappointing, my short were triggered 30 pips stop loss, right at the high at 1.5926.

As per weekly forecast, If 1/3 support at 1.5830 is holding up nicely (weekly forecast I call for 1.5810), then GBP/USD will continue the upward momentum to challenge TG2: 1.6000 then TG3: 1.6070 (3L).

If GBP/USD cannot break above strong resistance TG2: 1.6000, then it might come back down to 1.5750.

For my trade setup, I prefer to enter long at 1.5850 region, SL 1.5820 (30 pips, 5 pips below yesterday low), TG 1.5980 (130 pips).

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

I am hungry and I have been eating nonstop since 11pm… it is 2am now.

I am still data crunching, and I am still watching the monitors, hitting the keyboards.

Why forex? Why DJIA?
Why would I have such wide interest?

Dancing, Listening (ya, I turn on music very loud in the car), and I like to blow my room with loud music 

I fall in love with Audi this weekend, I parked beside a black car, went to the bank to deposit my cheque, came out and saw this amazing automobile… it is Audi A4 - do you know how does an Audi A4 look like?

And in the afternoon when I am walking up to the fitness center, I saw Audi R8 passing by… out of so many cars at this posh area, I spotted it, and I start to feel interested on what a German car, what an European car can offer, yes, I am curious.

After gym, after sauna, after shower, I go home and researched…

This is what I got…!!!

Story aside... Back to track, what do we expect next week?

DJIA and NASDAQ 100 Update for Mon 19 Mar 2012

DJIA has the biggest weekly gain since 2012, weekly candle has again pierced high and made new high of 13,288 pts last Friday.

Friday market is basically led by economic data releases.

From the technical chart, DJIA has come back to the upward channel, and we may foresee the market to go up higher towards 13,350 pts.
Current support 13150-170.
Target to enter long when the indices come down 30 pts from opening.

NASDAQ 100

Similar to Dow, we observed market surged to higher and higher high everyweek.
Next week expect market to rise up, next TG 2742-45.

Current support 2712.
Strong support 2700.

Weekly Forecast (FX)

This week forecast starts from GBP/USD.
Irresistible… looking at my favorite market… :-P

Blue horizontal lines represent support levels, Red horizontal lines represent resistance.

Basically the chart marking with (1), (2) --- (5) is my forecast of movement for next week.

The cable surge on last Friday, and I would love to see the surge to continue to hit TG: 1.5925.
Next resistance level 1.5995 (Feb’12 top).

I expect market to pull back a little bit on Monday, support (1) 1.5810, and continue heading to TG 1.5925 level.
After which, I forecast GBP/USD face a little rejection, come down to (3) 1.5780 / 1.5810 – which will be the EMA50 level by that time, found support, and challenge the top again (4).

Next week packed with 8 releases - Here is an important event to watch, if the economic data leave a positive effect on GBP/USD then it shall break above the strong resistance 1.5995 – 1.6000 and go towards 1.6070.
Otherwise, GBP/USD shall come back down to 1.5750 (5).

YM on Tue 13-Mar-2012

Shorting YM / US30 on FXCM.

Market has come up to resistance and currently testing it.
I have initiated a short, SL 30 pts, TG 100 pts.

I have been having opposite view on DJIA and GBP/USD.

Since I am bearish on GBP/USD, I have been thinking whether I need to sit back and other than hunting for long, I should also observe for shorting opportunity.
This afternoon after I turn on the chart, I think I can see it coming.

However, the bullish sentiment in DJIA still strong and I expect market to find support at the red line near 12965 region, then it will move sideways either to test the top again, and go down to the strong support and break the upward momentum.

If market drops below 12900 or ultimately 12880, I will abandon long but consider to change my view.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA and NASDAQ 100 Update for Mon 12 Mar 2012

DJIA
Early of last week market plunged heavily for 200 pts., tested below 12750 pts. support level and rebounded to stay above 12900 until the closing for the week.

Next we expect DJIA to trade sideways between 12830-13030.
Personally I am favoring to the top, I favor to trade long when market comes back to 12830, if market break below 12830, abandon long and we expect the plunge to go down to 12630.

NASDAQ 100
Nasdaq 100 is trading at previous top 2649; it managed to break above previous top 2649 and reached 2652 on Friday.

Nasdaq 100 is prone to more bullish sentiments - next target 2690.
Current support 2640, strong support 2613.63.

Aggressive trader can aim to long at current support, SL 10 pts., and target exit 2670-2690.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

GBP/USD on Tue 6-Mar-2012

Market fallen, it touches our identified support 1.5790 like mentor JC commented, reboudned and approach 1.5900 nor resistance but only close to it.

Highest reaches 1.5886 and market fall for more than 100 pips.

I found a butterfly pattern on 1 hour chart, but it continues to dive south.

Trapezium formed and confirmed with GBP/USD trading below BKO 1.5884 convincingly.

Hunt short, short short short, aggressive short!

If u missed the short like I did, hunt to hunt tomorrow morning at initial shadow 25 pips from opening.

Monday, March 5, 2012

GBP/USD on Mon 5-Mar-2012

For those who follow…
We call for GBP/USD fall 300 pips but our short is 2 days early, market went up to 1.5995, the level which I would have given up to short. So my SL triggered, stopped out, market fall for more than 120 pips last Friday.

I reckon market to rebound from 1.5800 region, stochastic level in 1 Hour chart is quite low and a butterfly pattern is forming now.

So for now market might continue trading down to test support 1.5790-1.5800, rebound to resistance 1.5900.
I forecast market to trade sideways coming 2 days between 1.5790 – 1.5900. Bias downward pressure when market comes back to 1.5900.

Aggressive trader can hunt for short in the afternoon / tomorrow if market resisted at 1.5900 region.

Last Week: DJIA has formed Higher high, lower low – market is going to continue trading sideways
either testing higher high, or lower low again. In line with the expectation of few economic data release
– small decline in ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI, and weaker US job creation compare to last month’s figure).

As long as DJIA maintain above 12910 levels,
Resistance: 13065
If market manages to breakout to the top, next target is 13150;
Otherwise, breaking below 12910 will attract more sell to next support 12760.

NASDAQ 100
11th week of positive gains for Nasdaq 100.
Even a divergence in 30 minutes chart can only drag NASDAQ100 down by 13-15 pts.
Average day range is 25 pts.

Only gung-ho traders able to withstand a trade like this. If I were to trade aggressively for this market, for Daily Trading:
I will patiently queue to enter at 7 pts. from the opening, SL another 7 pts. away and target to exit with 20 pts. gain / EOD.

Summary
I am expecting market to run down on Monday with the ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI. Prefer to stay out on Monday but pick long at support.

Busy weekend, again

Addicted to certain kind of sadness...

It is a busy weekend (again).
Classes from 8am, competition until 12:30am, I am wearing heavy makeup, and the journey home is quite a distance... it took me 1 hour to get home.

It has been a while I don't get to drive after 1am, radio keeps playing love songs to sink my heart, I have no expectations, but I have memories.
I am tired, I do.

Got home late, sort out dance costume, cosmetics, put everything back to place, removing makeup... it is a quiet night, and I got myself a Tiger, and a can of Asahi.
It is a fruitful night.
I win 6th placing, intermediate category - belly dance.

Time is never enough, and I have done so many things. There are simply more things to be completed.

I need some time off for myself, my soul, and my legs.

GBP/USD on Tue 28 Feb 2012

GBP/USD didn't cross above 1.5900 and trading in a bearish mode.

Yesterday attempt to Long but I have been stopped out.  Check yesterday posting here.

a Trapezium has formed and if Trapezium works, it will be two weeks of south ride, however, our trading experience tells us the we are constantly challenged with our belief, up? or down?

GBP/USD has traded down to 1/3 retracement, 1.5810 is a good support level, and it is possible that GBP/USD will attempt to test 1.5900 again.
As long as GBP/USD didn't break above 1.5930-1.5950, I am still hunting for short hoping for the Trapezium pattern to work for us.

Intraday (1H) chart showing strength and I reckon market to turn up for the time being,  I queue to short at 1.5870, SL 1.5900, TG 1.5750.

Weekly Forecast (FX)

GBP/USD

Weekly: Bullish
Daily: Bullish, strong resistance at 1.5930.

If GBP/USD manages to cross above 1.5950, then it will go towards 1.6130-150.
Failure to break above this strong resistance, would be the confirmation of Trapezium and estimate a fall of 300 pips.

Strong Support 1.5780.

Today’s forecast:
intraday chart is not showing fatigue or divergence hence I forecast market to continue going higher and may go up to 1.6130-150 wave target price.
Anyhow, I don’t really feel like placing the order now.

Aggressive daily entry:
Long at initial shadow near 1.5850, SL 1.5820, TG 1.5930 (strong resistance).

DJIA & NASDAQ 100 Update for Mon 27 Feb 2012

Last week in focus was the Greece bailout, and generally market is positive with Euro-Zone debt issue for the time being, and we expect the bullish sentiment to continue for another week.

Week ahead, we have Pending Home Sales m/m on Tuesday 12am, Core Durable Goods orders, CB Consumer Confidence, Prelim GDP, and Friday is ISM Manufacturing PMI consensus 54.6 (previous 54.1) to rise to highest in 8 months.

DJIA

Weekly candle suggest bullishness towards 13050 and 13150.

Daily candle show bullishness but momentum has slowed down with diminished day range.

4H chart show bullishness with higher high, higher low; intraday chart suggest market to turn down from current high to support 12880, if market manage to sustain above 12850 then we will see it reaches 13050 soon. Any positive news in the market may stimulate the bull higher to next resistance 13150.

Trade action: Early of the week, aggressive short at 20 pts. from opening
(if market open at close 12982, mean we short at 13002),
SL 13020 (slightly above last week’s high),
TG 90 – 100 pts. (estimate 12880-900).

Mid-week hunt for Long if market manages to sustain above 12850.

YM

Last week on YM: market open gap up an traded down to touch support region 12890 pts, it rebound and close at 12959.

Similar trade action: early of the week - Hunt for short at 13000 region, SL 13030, TG 100 – 120 pts.

NASDAQ 100

Market is bullish and it will continue to challenge higher high towards 2665 pts.
Last done 2604, Current support 2590, strong support 2575-2580.

Friday, February 24, 2012

GBP/USD on Fri 24 Feb 2012

After 3 days of falling, GBP/USD formed a white candle last night after it is trading back to current support 1.5650 region.

Daily Candle suggests further up side to test 1.5800-820 which is only 50-60 pips away.
While 1.5650 is still holding up GBP/USD strong.

Intraday chart giving mixed signals, 30 minutes chart showing overbought - signal downward pressure, but I am not convinced because the price action haven't show fatique... from 4 Hour chart, GBP/USD is moving up from support and going to leap over to bullish band.. so if GBP/USD move above 1.5800 then it might continue to march higher to 1.5850.

For early session, I favour long :)
Aggressive Entry to Long at 1.5700-710, SL 1.5680 (or 30 pips from entry), TG 1.5800.

YM on Thu 23 Feb 2012

It is still trading sideway (consolidation) YM has finally its support near 12900 (lowest 12890) and going up to 13000 resistance.

Quote my weekly forecast (posted on Mon 20 Feb 2012):

YM

Similar to Dow, market currently trading at resistance 12930, reckon the rally to continue towards 13100 after market has tested support 12830 pts.

Current support lies at 12830-860, initiate Long if support market bounces off 12830-860. However, breaking below 12830 would bring YM down to 2nd support 12700 pts.

Staying out, and still waiting...

EUR/USD on Wed 22 Feb 2012

Feel that its time to short, plan to short at initial shadow 1.3260 SL 1.3300 TG 1.3140 (ATR or close at EOD).

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

EUR/USD on Tue 21 Feb 2012

Market has been bullish with Greek bailout and within 1 hour it hike 60 pips or more and hit resistance 1.3250 and almost challenge above 1.3300.

Stochastic level still not too high so I'm not convinced to take a short trade.

Will observe market cuz it tends to move in sideways now.

Checked USD Index and it is almost ready for reversal up thus might be a turn down for Euro if there is no news to stimulate EUR/USD.

Still will observe when market trading at 1.3250-280-or max 1.3300 for shorting opportunity.
But no rush.

Will update if there's a market order.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

US market is closed on 20th Feb 2012 - observance of US Presidents day.
On the economic data front, US Retail sales rise in January, unemployment claims unexpectedly dropped to 348k (lowest in four years).

DJIA

Technical Forecast
DJIA break above major resistance 12880 and trading towards 13000, last done 12949.90 pts.

Weekly chart:
bullish, weekly candle suggests market to leap higher towards 13060 pts., breaking above this level will lead to TG2 13150 pts.
Daily chart: bullish
Intraday chart: market resisted at 12960 pts., it has a tendency to fall back to BKO 12900 or major support 12800 before going higher. Check divergence in 30Mins.

Since Monday is a bank holiday, we reckon market to trade sideways between 12900 - 13000, initiate market order near support 12900 or resistance 13000 is preferable than to trade in between.

NASDAQ 100

Market resisted at 2600 pts. and currently trading near 2585 pts., market is bullish, might test 2600 resistance again and if market break above this resistance then next target is 2660 pts.
Support 2573-2577 pts. Enter long if market is trading at this level during mid-week.

NQ

Weekly and daily chart indicate that market is bullish, support 2560, suggest to enter Short 2590-2595 while we wait for short term correction back to 2560.

Weekly Forecast (FX)

EUR/USD
What we have observed in a smaller time frame (1 hour), could it happen in the bigger time frame?
Check orange vs green lines on chart.

Early of the week: Consolidate bias up to test 1.3200-250.

Mid-week, if market continues to trade below resistance 1.3250, it would have formed the right shoulder for Head & Shoulder pattern, and we just need to wait for the catalyst drive south towards first target 1.2900.

Monday, aggressive Long around 1.3100, SL 1.3060, TG 1.3220 (Day Range / EOD).
Mid-week hunt for short at 1.3250 resistance.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA

Follow my blog updates last Friday, market has fallen back to main support 12750.
This is a desirable level to enter long for the rally to continue up. I didn’t take the long trade due to weekends and hopefully can get a good long level.

Let’s take a look at the technical chart:

Weekly: candlestick pattern, neutral - bearish bias.
Daily: market is trading uptrend; last candlestick pattern suggests a bearish outlook.
4 hour: market has retraced 1/3 after touching high 12930 region.
Strong support 12730.

DJIA: market is well supported at 12743 pts; reckon market to trade sideways around this region testing 12680-12730 pts.
1 hour: stochastic level is low and hopefully the market forms a butterfly pattern while consolidate at this level.

Although the weekly and daily candlestick pattern suggested the market is bearish bias, I am still positive that DJIA could bounce off strong support 12730, may be will attempt lower low before uptrend resume.
In case DJIA didn’t fall below 12680 I am still holding the bullish view.

Minor resistance 12850
Strong resistance 12930 – 950.

Aggressive long at 12730 pts, SL 12680, TG 12930 pts.
Not hunting for short on Monday, unless market breaks below 12680.

YM

Strong support 12680-700, target exit 12930 similar to Dow.
Resistance 12870-890 pts.

This morning market gap up 60 pts, open at 12827 pts but immediately traded down to 12800 regions.

Aggressive long at 12760 SL 12720 TG 12930.
Breaking above 13000 YM shall go to next target 13130, no looking back.

NASDAQ 100

Super bull super bull
Next target 2590 – 2595 pts.

Like what I mentioned last Friday in my blog, if Nasdaq 100 trade below 2545 then it might have a short term correction back to 2515-20 pts strong support.

Monday preference is to hunt for short if market is resisted at previous high 2550 pts.

NQ

Aggressive trade: to short at 2558 – 2560. SL 2565 previous high, target exit 2530 pts.
However, similar to YM, hunt for long when market trade back to support @ 2515-20, SL 7 pts, TG 2560-2565, TG 2 2595.

CFD no more, LCP

As you see, I have been trading on FXCM and today I log into IG markets and realised that CFD for commodities is no longer available here.

They introduced new product = LCP

“Leveraged Commodity Product” or “LCP” means an OTC commodity contract on a margin basis (other than a commodity futures contract) whereby a person undertakes, as determined by the terms and conditions of the contract, to pay an amount of money determined or to be determined by reference to the change in value of a commodity over a specified period of time;

The new contract size is now:
Gold
1. Standard Contract = 100 troy oz / margin requirement USD1700
2. SGD denominated contract = SGD$10 (SGD1 x min 10 contracts) / margin requirement SGD$170 (SGD17 x min 10 contracts)

Silver
1. Standard Contract = 5000 troy oz / margin requirement USD3000
2. SGD denominated Contract = SGD$5 (SGD1 x min 5 contracts) / margin requirement SGD$300 (SGD60 x min 5 contracts)

Light Crude Oil (US)
1. Standard Contract = USD 10 per full point / margin requirement USD1500
2. SGD denominated Contract = SGD$5 (SGD1 x min 5 contracts) / margin requirement SGD$750 (SGD150 x min 5 contracts)

EUR/GBP

The Euro erased its earlier losses against the British pound. Both the Bank of England and the European Central Bank left their key interest rate unchanged at 0.5% and 1.0% respectively. The BoE boosted the size of its asset-purchase program by 50 billion pounds.

As per market expectation, BoE keep interest rate unchanged.  And injected 50 billion pounds into the market.
GBP fall and therefore EUR/GBP rise.

GBP/USD

Last done 1.5808.
Next Support 1.5700.
Resistance 1.5890.

Market pattern: sideway between 1.5890 - 1.5730

If GBP/USD fall below 1.5800 and this support turned into resistance, there is a possibility that GBP/USD continue to face downward pressure towards 1.5700-730 and then 1.5600.

Short or Long
Short at 1.5850, SL 1.5890, TG 1.5730.
Long at 1.5700-730, SL 30 pips, TG 1.5830.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

Nasdaq 100

Long Position (since Tuesday) 2519 pts closed at 2550 with 31 pts profit.
Strong bull super bull all the way hitting 2L, Nasdaq100 currently trading at 2559.25.

On FXCM Nas100 is trading at 2561/2563.  If the strong bull continue then next target should be 2595, another 30 pts to go.

A little pull back is happening now after Nasdaq100 hit 2565 high last night.
Upward momentum has slowed down a little bit, current support 2545-2548 pts.

If Nasdaq100 trade below 2545 then it might have a short term correction back to 2520 pts.

Bet for upwave to continue?
Aggressive trading can enter long at 2552, SL 2544, TG 2592 or close EOD.
Short term if market fall below current support 2545, abandon long.

DJIA

Compare to Nasdaq100, DJIA has a weaker bull and the correction has taken place.  Last done 12890 pts.

Observed two star candle on daily chart.
DJIA didn't make it to 2L target and it has reduced upward momentum.

So far the weekly candle is still positive, today, I reckon a short term correction back to 12800-815 level and bounce off the low, and close above 12850.
But, if DJIA closes below 12850 tonight, then the weekly outlook might change from sideway bull to neutral.

YM

Last done 12830 pts.

Resistance 12880 pts.
Similar to Dow, reckon a short term correction down to 12750, bounce off the low, and close above 12780.

YM needs to bounce of this low 12750 and close above 12780 in order to maintain the bullish outlook.

Immediate action: Preference is to short at market, and close at 12780 (don't really feel like shorting because the stochastic is quite low).

Patiently Hunt for long at 12750 region if support holds.

Thank God its Friday

GBP/USD on 8-Feb-11 Wed

GBP/USD has been going up nicely, breaking resistance by resistance, and my temptation to short is getting higher...

However, with BoE actions (additional bond purchase) and official bank rates announcement tonight at 9pm... I doubt the market would reverse and correct down.

Still patiently waiting for short term correction,
I am whispering: Divergence, can you please form in 30 minutes chart? ^__^
I m waiting.

Transaction

Bullish sentiment on EUR/USD might last until 1.3450 but I couldn't find a place to enter long.

Open position on Nasdaq100:
Long @ 2519 since yesterday,
move SL to 2520 (+1 pt),
TG remain at 2550 (+31 pts).

Integrity

Beginning of a new day, I took some time to browse thru my favorite website – The Daily Motivator by Ralph Marston. Today’s article is good… let’s share a few lines.

You can read the complete version here: http://greatday.com/motivate/120204.html

The vision inside
Achievement flows from the inside out. To experience an exceptional life on the outside, you must nurture exceptionally positive values on the inside.
You cannot be angry, resentful, envious or cynical on the inside and expect to achieve anything of value. No matter where you might attempt to direct it, your negativity hurts you more than anyone else.

The great thing is, you can experience an outstanding life if you will constantly and persistently envision an outstanding life. That positive vision will itself drive your actions to ensure its own fulfillment.

...

Being a trader, we need to make decisions, long or short, now or later, and often when market is volatile and moving, we need to decide on the dot.

We are not able to guarantee the result or outcome of our trading decision, like what Dr Van Tharp says, we don’t trade the market, we trade our beliefs.

Take full responsibilities of our own action, take the losses when it has reached our stop loss, be it a mental stop loss or pre-set value; when it has reached our profit, adjust it to higher profit target, or just take the profit, and be happy of the money made today.

It will be another day.

DJIA and NASDAQ 100 Update for Mon 06 Feb 2012

DJIA
Last Friday NFP announcement and US jobless rate has uplifted the market, in line with the positive economic data, and market has break above 12750 region and trading above 12850.

We reckon market to slow down during the early of the week to support level to take a breather before going towards the next target 12950-13000.

YM
Current support 12730
Strong Support 12630
Resistance 12930 (Target)

S did a very good short call last Thursday, short at 12850 region and still standing with more than 50 pts. floating profit! ^__^ Yes for big picture we are looking forward to a big fall, but current financial reporting gala might drive market north anytime so make sure you know how much money you want to make, and decide where to exit :)

For early of the week, Hunt for long opportunity when market comes back to 12630 strong supports in line with EMA50 in 4 hour chart.
Stochastic is quite low and therefore do not encourage taking short position now, prefer to hunt for long if market is showing strong reversal at support levels 12730 or 12630.

NASDAQ 100
Market condition: strong bull and next target lies at 2592.08 pts., last done 2528.70 pts.

NQ
Market is currently trading at 2518 levels and we reckon a 1/3 retracement back to 2500 (last Thursday high) before hitting target 2546-2550.
Aggressive daily trading: Long at initial shadow 2509 SL 2500, TG 2540 (Day range)

DJIA and NASDAQ 100 for 30 Jan 2012 Mon

Hi traders

I'm now having a family holiday at Melaka and the weekly forecast gonna be short as I'm working from a mobile.

Today might be the first day of work to many people and I wish all 开工大吉!

DJIA

Market shows rejection at 12850 and close around 12650 for the week. (12,660.46 pts)

Market is going sideways for this week.

Today, no major economic data release and therefore we forecast market to continue facing selling pressure.

We reckon the support to sit at 12550-600 pts during early of the week and market shall rebound back to 12750 resistance.

Quick trade: short immediately around 12700 and exit 12550-600. (1 hour chart mini head and shoulder)

For traders who missed the short from top, early of the week, hunt for 12550-600 support actions to Long (4 hour chart EMA50 support), but take quick profit around 12750 because from the price action, the upward momentum is weakened.

Big picture: like we said the weakened upward momentum, check this - after the spike up to 12850, we observed selling pressure at the same level, Lets assume market to be choppy for this week and next week, being resisted at 12750 or maximum 12800 high - it could form the right shoulder (check 4 hour chart) and then, we should expect a healthy correction / fall to the major support in Feb 2012 / Mar 2012.

Yes, a healthy correction is required, so pay attention!

NASDAQ100

sorry I do not hv access to Nasdaq 100 chart but I wish all don't hv any open position now, rest for a week before the big actions come in play!

Cheers & Gong Xi Fa Cai,
Bee Yen

Change

I have opened a blog post from T.Harv Eker for weeks, the Google Chrome tab is always there and I didn’t read it until this morning… I guess there is some important message needed to be delivered to me, and yes, it arrives at the RIGHT time.

Embrance change.

Accept changes.

Live Happily.

-------

Source: New Year, New Changes: Will You Go With The Flow or Fight It?

Happy New Year! I am excited to share with you exciting, new journeys and experiences as 2012 reveals itself to all of us.

With each new year comes changes big and small . . . whether we like it or not! And because change is inevitable, and because we have just entered a new year, I wanted to touch on this subject just a little deeper.

Sometimes we love change, like a new job, a new relationship, or moving to a new city. Sometimes we hate change, especially when it’s not our choice or out of our control. In that case, we’d rather stick with what we know, even though it may no longer apply to our reality.

Either way, change is not always easy, is it? Why is change difficult for most of us? Because change means that we are forced out of our comfort zones, which is why it can be so difficult to embrace.

Here’s a clue: if what you’ve been looking for was where you’ve been looking, you’d have already found it! (Read that sentence one more time, it’s a good one.) Doing more of the same harder and longer is usually not the answer. Willingness to change usually creates better results.

It’s true—in many ways, reality is what we make it. Regardless if change is chosen or forced, one of the first steps to change is changing how you think. What you focus on expands because not only are you thinking it, but then you’re feeling and doing, even if you’re not always aware of it.

In other words, if you think change is going to suck, you’ll feel that, you’ll end up acting like it, then that change will end up exactly as you thought. But if you think, “Something good can actually come out of this,” you’re inviting more favorable results. Adapting to change then becomes easier and less stressful because you’re not focusing on the discomfort of the unpredictable.

This year, when change comes your way (because it will no matter what), treat change as a gift, even when it comes unexpectedly.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

Its Chinese New Year and I am having fun, chilling out at home, watching TV for whole day, eating junks, biscuits, CNY feast... hahaha
Wishing all have fun no matter it is CNY, US Bank holiday, talks on Greek debt swap, or Economic data release.

It has been a great start for 2012, while reaping profit from the market, it is also our duty to review our account size, and decide whether we should move on to higher contract size, or lower. Trade responsibly, bear in mind Intrinsic Money Management.

DJIA

Weekly candle: Bullish
Market progress upward but yet to hit next resistance 12750 (1st TG), and next resistance R2 12880.

Generally market shall continue to trade upward with more earnings report from big corporation, and pay attention to Thursday as there are a lot of critical economic data release.

YM

Intraday:
Market open gap down and I think it is a good opportunity to grab an entry near 12610-30, SL 12593, and target exit 12750.

Nasdaq 100

Nasdaq 100 breaks new high and we reckon the market would continue to rally up.
Hunt for long opportunity if market retrace and rebound at first support 2425.
Support S1: 2425
Strong Support S2: 2415

Target exit at Resistance R1: 2445
If market continue to go up, we reckon the next target lies at R2: 2520 (in Feb 2012).

Cheers, Happy Chinese New Year & Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Chinese New Year 2012 - Year of Dragon

Saw this adorable key chain from a blog, steal!

This year is a bit different compare to all the past years...
My dad passed away last year and therefore this year and for the following 2 years we are supposed to be low profile.  As per chinese culture / tradition it is like this... for the first year of moaning, we are not supposed to attend other people's happy event like marriage, child birth..

Over two - three years I didn't really shop for Chinese New Year, although I shop all the time... alright to best describe it, I lost the best companion to shop with me, I lost catch of my taste and I do not know where to find my style.

So this year, I went to blook, and I got so much from them (I became their VIP), their products are alright for my work, and there are some other cool stuff, 2nd-ly UniQLo came to Malaysia, after the opening, first time I step in and really spend time looking around and checking out things, I found something really simple and nice, 3rd-ly I went to some really cool boutique, yeah, definitely spend a little bit more for CNY 2012.

I am happy to found favourite place to shop.. After all this while.

DJIA and Nasdaq 100

DJIA

US market was affected when S&P downgrade 9 euro countries.

DJIA tumbled and had a straight fall of more than 150 points to reach 12311 pts. within the first 2 trading hours. But closed at 12422 pts. (-47 pts.) last Friday.

Market still identifies the support level 12300 -330 strong and DJIA record a weekly gain of 62 pts. (0.5%).
This week is the Financial Report week; many big organizations is announcing their earnings, other than focus on Euro-Zone debt crisis, earnings from Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, General Electric, Intel, Microsoft, Google, Apple will create volatility for the US market.

Technical Chart:
Weekly candle suggest that US market might have another choppy week ahead, with bullish bias towards higher high 12600 pts., 12730 pts.

Support at 12300 level. This is a crucial level if DJIA traded below support and close the weekly candle below 12250, I will abandon long view.

Intraday 30 minutes chart: 12395 is the BKO level and we can hunt for long opportunity as long as DJIA do not cross below 12330, ultimate stop 12300, Target exit 12500.

Monday is US bank holiday; US banks will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

YM
Monday market is likely to be depressed.

Market opened at 12377 and from 30 minutes intraday chart, if market continues to be resisted below 12380, we will observe the formation of divergence (stochastic vs. price) and YM is going to trade down to 1st target 12330 pts.

We are likely to hunt for long as long as YM didn’t trade below intermediate support level 12280 pts., ultimate stop 12250 pts.

Target exit at immediate resistance 12440 – 12450.

Meaning to say, early of week we hunt for shorting opportunity, and mid-week we hunt for long opportunity in line with the expectation of positive earnings from Intel, Microsoft (Thursday), and Google (Friday).

Nasdaq 100

Market reaches our target level and continue the uptrend.
Support 2358-2360, resistance 2385, next target 2400.

NQ
Similar to YM, NQ will be depressed on Monday and it is likely to trade back down to support level 2358, hunt for long opportunity during mid-week as long as NQ didn’t trade below 2348-2350, target exit 2385, next target 2400.

Impatience, Patience

How to deal with impatience?

Good article share by G.

It is another good Saturday, I am at the office enjoying high speed internet, while patiently (^.^) waiting for all marketing team members to arrive, and today we are going through the Hospital Management Solutions.

So many industrial jargon... and Google is my best friend.
Hope I pass... :)

A Thousand Years

Christina Perri - A Thousand Years (Official Lyric Video)

I have been listening to this song lately.
Not only the lyrics... but it keeps reminding me that, I can love myself more.

There will be someone loving me for a thousand years, and will love me for a thousand more.
The song is slow, but, I get so much energy to move forward.

Do a little bit more, and we are one step closer.
It can be one step closer to our dreams, it can be one step closer to someone.
It can be one step closer to our goals.

Believe, do it.

One step closer,
Ayumi

Transaction (FX)

EUR/USD

Market formed high at 1.2820, and like what we mentioned at the weekly forecast, the overhead resistance is 1.2850, and if EUR/USD break above 1.2880, I will abandon short.

I shorted the market yesterday afternoon at 1.2780 but triggered a 30 pips stop loss around 10pm.
This is also the highest level last night.

After that EUR/USD trade down to 1.2740 (-70 pips).

I am looking forward to EUR/USD continue to trade down to 1.2710-20, and reverse to 1.2780 during Asian hour.

Similarly 1.2780 will be the level I hunt for short.
If there's no reversal sign on 30 minutes chart, I will wait for market to test 1.2850 resistance to hunt short.

SL 30-50 pips, TG 1.2550.

GBP/USD

I entered short on GBP/USD yesterday afternoon 1.5475, same time I placed order for EUR/USD short.
GBP/USD has been trading in small range, market neither hit SL, nor TG.

I moved SL to 1.5505 (30 pips) and TG last Friday low 1.5375 (100 pips).

Weekly Forecast (FX)

EUR/USD

Next support 1.2550.
Market is bearish, investor concern on the deepening Euro-zone debt crisis, repayment of sovereign debt in coming months, recession, downgrade of country’s credit rating…

Weekly candle: bearish
Daily candle: bearish, three black candle on daily chart.
Early of the week, we expect market to test support level 1.2550 upon a technical rebound.
If market rebound from 1.2550, we expect the technical rebound to reach 1.2850 – maximum 1.2880. Abandon short if market break above 1.2880.

If within this 9-Jan-2012 week there’s announcement / fundamental news that tumble the market, then EUR/USD shall dip further below 1.2550, to reach strong support 1.2300.

GBP/USD

GBP/USD being affected by the Euro zone, economy sluggish, housing slump.

Current resistance 1.5530, strong resistance 1.5630.
GBP/USD attempted to test its strong support level 1.5360, GBP/USD had formed a low at 1.5380 last Friday and rebounded to 1.5430. From 1 hour chart, this technical rebound may still at its early stage and we reckon market to trade up to 1.5480 on Monday and going to test 1.5530 or maximum 1.5630 strong resistance till mid week.

If market unable to break above 1.5630 then we expect the bearish sentiment to continue towards 1.5280 - 1.5300 next strong support.

For YM (on Broco chart):
Current support 12270, S2 12220.

GBP/USD on 3-Jan-2012

From monthly chart, GBP/USD is prone to continue the bearish sentiments for the next 2 months.
Major support 1.5250, upon breaking below 1.5250 GBP/USD might test 1.5080 region.

Since market open, GBP/USD has rallied >80 pips and currently trading at 1.5600.
I reckon market to continue this bullish sentiment until 1.5700 resistance.

From intraday chart, we observed market making higher high, but the stochastic crossing remain the same, I reckon market to continue to inch higher, but stochastic crossing diverge.

Hunting for reversal to short at 1.5650 - 1.5700 region. SL 40 pips.
Target exit 1.5500.

Holiday over~

Its the start of a new year, new week and the market is revived after many days of inactivity.

Market generally focus on the Euro zone debt crisis as we are coming close to the repayment of sovereign debts.
Watch Italy, and Spain.

Blessed 2011

Looking back… and looking forward.

I am blessed.

**I went to RT Pastry yesterday; I pointed at this cake and told the girl I wanted this Green Tea cake. Then realized this cake is smaller than the regular small cake, it is only 300 grams! **
**Special Cake for Special Event, for a special person like myself and family! **

I though 2011 was a bad year… and last night while reflecting how I spent my 2011… I found -- this is the most meaningful year for me.

I experienced the ups and downs being a trader, won the lottery - big wins, how I hit the jackpot for Gold rally, DJIA, and CL… and also lost a big chunk of money in GTI, many small losses FX.

These losses seems to occur towards end of the year… this central tendency made me wonder if 2011 was a bad year.  Reflection is a powerful tool, if you roll back, and counting the blessing, you'll find the world a better place.

I successfully became a certified coach for APSRI Trader ProMaster module. Carried out a few workshops. It is a paradigm shift and I learned many things over the journey.  Mentor teaches me to me compassionate, introduces me to meditation, APSRI team coaches - Trader Investor Point let me post in their FB wall, Ajahn Brahm teaches us to be kind.  Yes, helping others enrich our lives.

I successfully became a regular instructor in Chi Fitness, and also successfully choreographed belly dance songs, and teaching them. I am also building my syllabus.

And… by looking at my past belly dancing videos, *glad that I grab opportunity to video* by looking into my past performances, I have travelled a distance. I see the improvement in myself and I am glad I did.

Attended numerous workshops, learned from Hadia, Serkan Tutar, Wael Mansour, Percy Yeoh, Mercedes Nieto, Sandra, etc… I am thankful for all the workshops I attended, although I may not be the one who can remember the steps (yeah… I am not good in that) I would say learning from Sandra and Mercedes Nieto helps a lot! They are detail, systematic and they know how to teach the feminine sensuality in dance, how to perform and how to practice.

And… having been blogging since 2007 (yeah, 5 years has past); I written my first mandarin article and published in a bi-monthly issue Capital Asia by Business Media International.

Along the way there are challenges… Software, Dance, Coaching, Forum writing, blogging, financial column, trading, investing, it is tough to balance my time in between, thanks to my family who has been supportive, thanks to my friends who had trusted me, thanks to my colleague who has been keeping my secrets, thanks to my superior RN and my understanding lady boss BL.

I love 2011.

And I am going to excel higher, and make 2012 another meaningful year.

Bless all
Ayumi
