Catch Up

Time slipped.

It has been almost 6 months I have not check in here.

And I missed many friends such as Soulfire, I missed AiShiang, I missed AlexSiew

Over these 6 months, I have
March – Elena Ramazanova (from Russia) Hafla + Workshop
April – Turbo Tabla (from Korea, US / Egpyt) Hafla + Workshop
May – BDA (from Russia, Italy / Egypt) Competition + Teachers Training + Workshop
June – Sa’diyya (from USA) Hafla + Workshop
June – Dance Dance Dance 1.0 Intensive Training + Showcase
July – Dance Dance Dance 1.0 Intensive Training + Showcase

And I still missed Anusch (from Gulf) Workshop…
Coming up there will only be more workshops, training, competition, and more improvements.
My abs start to formed its shape and my arms are toned, just that they are not so feminine as I like them to be.
My body weight went from 52kg to 48kg while I build more muscles.
I hope my energy level, my metabolic rate, as well as my mind can cope with the future physical commitment.

I will do my level best to check out on Non-Farm Payroll for August, a lot of catch up to do...

I will make time for them this coming Muslim’s New Year.

Till then, wish me good luck this Sunday showcase.

Keynote Speech, Day 2

SaaS is gaining popularity here in Malaysia, when we talk about cloud, people start to understand us better, thanks to Apple Inc, I think they educate us with free cloud experience and his cool mobile gadget – iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, etc. (obviously, I am an apple fan).

I watched the live webcast of the keynote speech by NetSuite CTO last night.
NetSuite – World #1 Business Suite on Cloud, #1 Cloud ERP.

For the first time, in 10 months, I get to see Evan Goldberg in a live performance.  I get to see his face, listen to his voice, and I get to meet his wife, met CEO Zach Nelson.

We are one of the partner with NetSuite in Malaysia.  We are a special company, since our joint venture, we have SaaS, Infrastructure, Hardware, On-Premise solution, Data Center, and Software Development.

I am looking forward to the user experience overhaul in future releases.
I am looking forward to the mobile app ver 2 which will be released in months.

Resume... Ayumi update

I was quite bothered with Malaysia General Election.
Was following the news on TV, postings on social media.
And .. failed to allocate time for trading and forecast.

After a week of ''rehab'', I will resume with my regular postings.

Last week was a fun filled week.

Debt Free

I managed to cancel my 3rd credit card, Citibank Cash Back Platinum (Visa), RHB Platinum (Master), Standard Chartered Gold (Visa).
And called HSBC to cancel my card application.

Leaving me with UOB One Card (Visa) + UOB Lady's Card (Master) and Citibank Clear Card (Master)
Lady's Card is cool (Read more).

I enjoy the lowest credit limit from both banks.

Relieved.

Career Expansion

Work

The new team, is smaller.
As I blog earlier... [Related Post]
I doubted whether the new team would be as open as what and how I used to enjoy.

Pros:
Effective Team
Assertive Super Sales Girl (wow, she is really classic, she is assertive, but she is not offensive, I like her!)
I get more chance to configure the system for product demo, I get more exposures to solutions, and the senior consultant, he is helpful (I couldn't say I like him, but, he gave me a totally opposite personality now)

I heard that he was aggressive, crafty.
After joining the team, I can understand his pain better, and there's no way a normal person could handle situation as such, without showing much anger or resentment.  He gained my respect as a senior application consultant, the pioneer of NetSuite in KL (as far as I know of).

Dance

Finally we met!

I started learning dance from this academy, and you know, when I am given a choice to return to this academy, to teach, I feel glad.

After months and months of postpone, schedule and reschedule, we met!
The principal shared much of her experience and expectation with me.

I admire her, she kept her carefree personality, take tough things easily, responsible, even though she has to face many sakai (crazy kids), adults, and instructors..

We are starting up 3 new classes for kids bellydance.
Not one, hello.  She planned 3 classes.

"Keeping my Saturday free", this rule has been compromised.
I value this relationship, I value the opportunity, and more importantly, I want to learn to communicate with kids.

Review

Life has been good, it is a good year.  It is going to be a good year, as long as I keep my commitment.
Be Strong, Be consistent. 7 months to go.  I know I can do it.

I passed my debt crisis, now I regained my freedom, I understands, I was silly.
From this period of life, I learned an important lesson,
people who are suffering, may not feel suffer.
the process to fight for freedom may not be as tough as it seems.
Be considerate.  Take it easy.  If you want to solve a problem, be patient, do it with your heart.

Believe in God.

I read something great today:
Don't underestimate people in pain,
some may be good hiding them.

Sunday~

Another blessed Sunday :)
I am sitting right in front of my laptop since 12.. and I have done some reading, read the headlines of the week on global market, read a few article that grab my interest, then I got distracted a bit, I went to the store room to find what is available for my June holiday.

I check my cabin bag, my backpack, thinking of what should I bring when I visit to Taipei, Taiwan?

Since I am gonna stay in a 4 beds female dorm, on the 4th floor without lift (yeah it needs a bit of walking and/or climbing).. I think I should have bring some light luggage instead.

Take a look at the picture... My backpack is parked side by side to the approved cabin bag size... Since the backpack size look similar to a cabin bag, I think it should not be a problem if I bring them up to the aircraft...

Why would I need two bag instead of 1?  11 days of stay in Taipei, the shopping is going to add up to my return luggage ^__^ after food, and night markets.

the backpack looks cool isn't it.. monotone, with lots and lots of compartments.
and found this little angel someone brought for me from Taiwan two - three years back.  It is hiding in one of the side pocket ^__^

Sweet~~~

End of my side stories... Coming up, market forecast :)

Sunday~~ Full Charge

Surprise, surprise and surprise!

Blogger has revamped new look, I saw the page load and statistics when I log in to the blogger main page, the page load is higher than what was printed on my blog, I guess that was due to my reset of my whole blog in July 2010 when I decides to start all over again and removed the past posts since 2007.

Then I go to the "load from" to take a look at the visitor map... and surprised to know that this forum http://chartistsunited.com/forum/index.php, printed my blog in their blog directories... I do not know who is the author or administrator of this forum and I continue to find out more statistics.

It seems that the blog is driving some visitor from US, Malaysia and Singapore which is quite surprise to me also.

Thanks to the reader and this is my trading journal and I hope in someway it is beneficial..

I have been busy the past weeks - new job scope, performance, dance classes, gathering, relationship concerns, holidays... and I would like to say things start to settle down and I have strike off many "To Do's" from my list.

Watched a movie this morning, and it is good.
"We bought a Zoo"

 Touching and nice...

20 seconds of courage... and Let's do it.  Why Not?
Life is an adventure.

It must not be a choice

Recently I have been overwhelmed with work. Moody.
The task is continuously testing my capabilities, I am challenged because I always think that I have limitation, and I always think that I am lack of resources.

Someone on my FB wall commented, suggest me … to go back to Trading.
Yes, I really hope so, to give up everything, just dance, and trading.

But I do NOT want things to happen this way…
Trading should not be a choice.
Dances should not be a choice.

I simply think that we cannot choose trading, or dancing, because I failed in some other areas.
I just do NOT want trading to be an option.

It is like… going back to your ex and tell them “the new relationship doesn’t work out”.
How does it sounds?

I bet it sounds like “Ewwwww…”annoying.

I am working so hard, to strike a balance between all the things I regard as important in my life… all these activities enriched my life, and I do not want them to become an option.
There are unlimited possibilities, and unlimited happiness if we are able to work out all these 3 things.

It satisfy me, my mother, and my bank account.

And I would like to encourage you to dedicate more, focus more, work hard towards getting what you want, and going full speed to achieving them. When you look back, there are only two things:
1. these are the experiences in life worth fighting for, or
2. they are plain rubbish…
but undoubtedly, you have given them the true meaning with all hard work.

What if it works?

We can choose, we can move forward

It has been a while I don’t read… and it has been a while since I last met mentor JC…
Work, commitment and new assignments have filled my calendar. I am constantly rushing… moving forward, I know, there shouldn’t be rush over everything, there could be something call: step by step…
There were something we need sit down, take time, embrace.. spend time.. and chill.

I read a beautiful article this beautiful morning… allow me to share a few line here with the readers.

Full article is here from The Daily Motivator – Ralph Marston

Lift the future
Just because you can become frustrated, doesn’t mean you must. Just because there are reasons to be angry or envious, resentful or disillusioned, doesn’t mean you have to choose any of those negative states.

Your choice of how to feel does not have to be dictated by the world around you. Instead, you can allow your feelings to come from the beauty that’s inside you.

Don’t base your feelings on the problems. Base them on the positive possibilities.

… Time moves forward, so look forward, and feel the limitless future as it arrives.

I have a choice,
Ayumi

Busy weekend, again

Addicted to certain kind of sadness...

It is a busy weekend (again).
Classes from 8am, competition until 12:30am, I am wearing heavy makeup, and the journey home is quite a distance... it took me 1 hour to get home.

It has been a while I don't get to drive after 1am, radio keeps playing love songs to sink my heart, I have no expectations, but I have memories.
I am tired, I do.

Got home late, sort out dance costume, cosmetics, put everything back to place, removing makeup... it is a quiet night, and I got myself a Tiger, and a can of Asahi.
It is a fruitful night.
I win 6th placing, intermediate category - belly dance.

Time is never enough, and I have done so many things. There are simply more things to be completed.

I need some time off for myself, my soul, and my legs.

I am gonna celebrate it with a sizzling hot bellydance master tonight! She is petite, but she looks tall and mesmerize me on the stage, this would be the first time I get to see her in real person! ^__^

Integrity

Beginning of a new day, I took some time to browse thru my favorite website – The Daily Motivator by Ralph Marston. Today’s article is good… let’s share a few lines.

You can read the complete version here: http://greatday.com/motivate/120204.html

The vision inside
Achievement flows from the inside out. To experience an exceptional life on the outside, you must nurture exceptionally positive values on the inside.
You cannot be angry, resentful, envious or cynical on the inside and expect to achieve anything of value. No matter where you might attempt to direct it, your negativity hurts you more than anyone else.

The great thing is, you can experience an outstanding life if you will constantly and persistently envision an outstanding life. That positive vision will itself drive your actions to ensure its own fulfillment.

...

Being a trader, we need to make decisions, long or short, now or later, and often when market is volatile and moving, we need to decide on the dot.

We are not able to guarantee the result or outcome of our trading decision, like what Dr Van Tharp says, we don’t trade the market, we trade our beliefs.

Take full responsibilities of our own action, take the losses when it has reached our stop loss, be it a mental stop loss or pre-set value; when it has reached our profit, adjust it to higher profit target, or just take the profit, and be happy of the money made today.

It will be another day.

Change

I have opened a blog post from T.Harv Eker for weeks, the Google Chrome tab is always there and I didn’t read it until this morning… I guess there is some important message needed to be delivered to me, and yes, it arrives at the RIGHT time.

Embrance change.

Accept changes.

Live Happily.

-------

Source: New Year, New Changes: Will You Go With The Flow or Fight It?

Happy New Year! I am excited to share with you exciting, new journeys and experiences as 2012 reveals itself to all of us.

With each new year comes changes big and small . . . whether we like it or not! And because change is inevitable, and because we have just entered a new year, I wanted to touch on this subject just a little deeper.

Sometimes we love change, like a new job, a new relationship, or moving to a new city. Sometimes we hate change, especially when it’s not our choice or out of our control. In that case, we’d rather stick with what we know, even though it may no longer apply to our reality.

Either way, change is not always easy, is it? Why is change difficult for most of us? Because change means that we are forced out of our comfort zones, which is why it can be so difficult to embrace.

Here’s a clue: if what you’ve been looking for was where you’ve been looking, you’d have already found it! (Read that sentence one more time, it’s a good one.) Doing more of the same harder and longer is usually not the answer. Willingness to change usually creates better results.

It’s true—in many ways, reality is what we make it. Regardless if change is chosen or forced, one of the first steps to change is changing how you think. What you focus on expands because not only are you thinking it, but then you’re feeling and doing, even if you’re not always aware of it.

In other words, if you think change is going to suck, you’ll feel that, you’ll end up acting like it, then that change will end up exactly as you thought. But if you think, “Something good can actually come out of this,” you’re inviting more favorable results. Adapting to change then becomes easier and less stressful because you’re not focusing on the discomfort of the unpredictable.

This year, when change comes your way (because it will no matter what), treat change as a gift, even when it comes unexpectedly.

Chinese New Year 2012 - Year of Dragon

Saw this adorable key chain from a blog, steal!

This year is a bit different compare to all the past years...
My dad passed away last year and therefore this year and for the following 2 years we are supposed to be low profile.  As per chinese culture / tradition it is like this... for the first year of moaning, we are not supposed to attend other people's happy event like marriage, child birth..

Over two - three years I didn't really shop for Chinese New Year, although I shop all the time... alright to best describe it, I lost the best companion to shop with me, I lost catch of my taste and I do not know where to find my style.

So this year, I went to blook, and I got so much from them (I became their VIP), their products are alright for my work, and there are some other cool stuff, 2nd-ly UniQLo came to Malaysia, after the opening, first time I step in and really spend time looking around and checking out things, I found something really simple and nice, 3rd-ly I went to some really cool boutique, yeah, definitely spend a little bit more for CNY 2012.

I am happy to found favourite place to shop.. After all this while.

Blessed 2011

Looking back… and looking forward.

I am blessed.

**I went to RT Pastry yesterday; I pointed at this cake and told the girl I wanted this Green Tea cake. Then realized this cake is smaller than the regular small cake, it is only 300 grams! **
**Special Cake for Special Event, for a special person like myself and family! **

I though 2011 was a bad year… and last night while reflecting how I spent my 2011… I found -- this is the most meaningful year for me.

I experienced the ups and downs being a trader, won the lottery - big wins, how I hit the jackpot for Gold rally, DJIA, and CL… and also lost a big chunk of money in GTI, many small losses FX.

These losses seems to occur towards end of the year… this central tendency made me wonder if 2011 was a bad year.  Reflection is a powerful tool, if you roll back, and counting the blessing, you'll find the world a better place.

I successfully became a certified coach for APSRI Trader ProMaster module. Carried out a few workshops. It is a paradigm shift and I learned many things over the journey.  Mentor teaches me to me compassionate, introduces me to meditation, APSRI team coaches - Trader Investor Point let me post in their FB wall, Ajahn Brahm teaches us to be kind.  Yes, helping others enrich our lives.

I successfully became a regular instructor in Chi Fitness, and also successfully choreographed belly dance songs, and teaching them. I am also building my syllabus.

And… by looking at my past belly dancing videos, *glad that I grab opportunity to video* by looking into my past performances, I have travelled a distance. I see the improvement in myself and I am glad I did.

Attended numerous workshops, learned from Hadia, Serkan Tutar, Wael Mansour, Percy Yeoh, Mercedes Nieto, Sandra, etc… I am thankful for all the workshops I attended, although I may not be the one who can remember the steps (yeah… I am not good in that) I would say learning from Sandra and Mercedes Nieto helps a lot! They are detail, systematic and they know how to teach the feminine sensuality in dance, how to perform and how to practice.

And… having been blogging since 2007 (yeah, 5 years has past); I written my first mandarin article and published in a bi-monthly issue Capital Asia by Business Media International.

Along the way there are challenges… Software, Dance, Coaching, Forum writing, blogging, financial column, trading, investing, it is tough to balance my time in between, thanks to my family who has been supportive, thanks to my friends who had trusted me, thanks to my colleague who has been keeping my secrets, thanks to my superior RN and my understanding lady boss BL.

I love 2011.

And I am going to excel higher, and make 2012 another meaningful year.

Bless all
Ayumi

Merry Christmas!

This week I will take time off and there will be no forecast, no updates.

It was Silent Night, and I am waiting for my brother's return.
I sleep very early because I had 3 sessions of belly dancing ... in the middle of the beauty sleep, the phone rang!

My brother apologize that he told me the flight date wrongly... they will be back 1 day later.

After this phone call, look at the wall clock, its 30 minutes to Christmas.
How did I spend my last Christmas? my last last Christmas?

It is Christmas, and I start to rewind what had happened this year... and start to think about the past.
I remember a new year eve in 2008, that I hang out with classmates and the club is full. No fun if it is full... everyone squeeze to get in, squeeze to move around... a bit tough to have fun in this type of environment.

However I do hope for some noise and laughter.

(this is the christmas decor in Bangsar Shopping Center (BSC), I took a snap yesterday after class)

I turned on TV, no program that I wished to watch.
I turned on my laptop, and started to blog.
And I started my research for the next travel destination. Yeah, I did research for Hong Kong.
Supposed to go there early of this year, but ... again, it is my choice to stay rather than move.
Why not Taiwan? yeah, I have ticket to Taiwan mid of this year, and again I dropped it.

Job, dance... It has definitely go a loooong way. Trading.... loooooong journey to transform from an investor to a trader, it is challenging!
I see myself improving in few areas, yes, I learn to appreciate myself.  The camp that I went last week has worked.
And, I just told myself to Love myself more in 2012.

And I will dance, and travel to HK or Taiwan in 2012. a Christmas gift to myself.

Learn to Love myself
Ayumi

Living Now, or living in the Past?

It takes a lot of patience, courage, determination, and I will call all as Hardwork, to make something happen, for the betterment of future.

We had a wonderful gathering yesterday, after 11 months, together, 4 of us observe growth in each other, together, we realised, what we have planted in the PAST, is giving us a fruitful NOW, and the tree of prosperity and growth, is going to grow bigger, and taller in the next 11 months, and many months to go.

Most importantly, when mentor JC was giving is closing speech for the day, many messages he wants to deliver, I get 1 striking message from him:

Are you living in the Past? Living to correct your mistakes from the Past? or Are you Living in the Future?

During the meditation this morning, and yes, continuous practise, I progress from 5 mins meditation to 14 minutes meditation now, eventually I will make it to 30 minutes, or even 1 hour by the end of 2011.

Back to the realisation... there are many many people who walked in my life, take that example from a typical work place, people complain, 1 month ago, she was complaining the workload and many people will 'throw' the job to her, and 1 month later, she is still struggle at the same topic.

Are we doing the same?
Are we going to repeat the same complain, over and over again?
Are we going to give the same 'punishment' to ourself through this repetition from the past?

Are we going to say, yes, I found a new system, I am going to test it, and make it work.
And after 3 months of testing, we say, yes, this is the system that I am going to trade, this is my trading, and I am gonna stick to it.
Then after 6 months, or 9 months, we complain that the system doesn't work in current market pattern, and start to look for new system?

Are we going to start the search, backtest, make it work, make it fail, and start all over again?

I know that there are many crap system.
I know that there are many wonderful system too!
Simple Support Resistance, and Fibonacci Numbers, can provide good trading guides and can give wonderful returns.
Are you going to make it work, for you?

For the betterment of mankind, for a better tomorrow, for a change of life, for a total control of our time, choices, remind yourself that you are going to make your dream come true.

I remind myself, I will achieve all wealth and success in my life, and I am going to make myself a Successful and Profitable Trader, I aim to spend quality time with my family, I will improve my setup consistency, and profit Unlimitedly from the market, and I hope all can benefit from my success.

The same story can have a good ending, that this girl from the workplace, finally break free from the job, be her own boss, and get her own business, at her own time, and create values to the marketplace.  While she found so many flaws in the previous organisation, she will never repeat the same unto her own company, and she will make a better business, and create many solutions to the marketplace, and finally she become successful and take control of her own life.

Do your part, and make the path for change.
Live, and plan for the future, believe me, that you can be in charge, and you, can make it happen.

Mentor said, the most important ingredient, in your trading, is you.
Take complete responsibility of our own action, if we cannot do it now, at least we try to be our best, do not give up, and do not let others be the one to blame, we play no victim.

Nobody is in upper hand of our life, unless we want him to.  Nobody is going to determine your success, nobody is going to tell you that you are a total failure, unless you want him to.  Start telling yourself, that you are going to be your best.  I am going to be my best, I will achieve all wealth, I will achieve all success, Yes?  or Yes!

How we get started...

When I flip back my journals.. it reminds me of how we started calculating the initial shadow, day range formula, our labeling of XABC... I remember how our ProMaster April 2010 Batch started, how we first organize our gathering, how we share our findings, our doubts, broker information, sms each other of the EMA-50 signals, posting in the forums..
Initial shadow for 3 majors, day range, charting, etc etc...

Every new associate remind us of how we get started... And believe me, all associates, all traders have to go through the process and you will find the process and hard work worthwhile.

There are still many things that I do not understand, but mentor JC has shared a very effective way to the solutions:
Write it down.
Like sifu said, just write it down, when you have reached to a certain level, you will be able to understand.

We can guarantee everyone, even Master Denny told us the same:
If you put your heart into it (learning & trading), after weeks, months, years, everything will unfold.

I have picked up many essence from the ProMaster workshop, from Sifu, from mentor JC, from master Denny (my coach during ProMaster), they have put their heart into the module, they shared the application, and they totally believe in the system.

I wish all continue to work hard, and hope the new year brings many many fruits, many many blessings to all! Plant the seeds, today! Start to work today, and get the ball rolling :)

~~~~ a Happy Birthday to Ayumi in advance, when the click ticks to 12am, I am 1 year older :) ~~~~
Reflection
This thought came into my mind this morning...
Which time frame to trade?
If I am trading for the Day, I look into intraday chart - 30 minutes would be sufficient to get a good entry.
If I am trading for few Days, ditto.
in this case, a weekly chart would help to identify the trend and help to see the big picture.
monthly chart, seldom use, just a peek into it..
What if, I am going to be a 'hourly' trader?
Similarly, I can use Day chart to identify trend, 30 minutes to sharpen entry, and may be, even smaller time frame like 15 minutes?
Should get killed when mentor read this 15 minutes chart thing... >.<
Which style I am most comfortable with? and whether I am ok with it?
I am ok with the Day chart and 30 minutes chart nowadays, I wonder: Is that because I have less time to trade, therefore, I compromise?
hm....
Lets frame it with better words...
Ayumi has become flexible, and now trading in a bigger time frame...
What if, when I gain the total freedom again, that I can just sit in front of my Lappy and watch the candle blocks, one by one, every 30 minutes?
No matter what, how, which strategy we use, it must be our strategy, our style.
What is my style?  Flexible is my style.
I have been brought up by my cool mother, disciplined, loyal, business minded, stable, organised, and secured.
I have a even more cool father, he has a golden finger, that he can turn a bottle of red wine into a good money making opportunity, and can turn a broken motorbike into a spare part business...  According to mum, he can see opportunities through his naked eyes... making money from businesses is not a problem for him, networking and connection is just simply a born skill.
I think my father makes a good speculator, Ayumi deem myself a speculator in my blood; a stable, disciplined, organised personality in my mind...
I think this is how and why Ayumi present an unlimited potential... and I believe many others do, we just need to work hard, and polish...
4 days to new year, 1 month + 1 week to Chinese New Year...
work hard everyday, unlimited opportunities awaits...
work 1 step a day, and never stop... we may be slow, we may be fast, we are ''in progress''.
Good read, go and read this article from T. Harv Eker's Blog:
The Resolution That Lasts a Lifetime
Greetings!
To all Readers
We have come to the end of the year and today is the last trading day of the week for US.
I thank all for sharing, and may all be Good, Healthy, Happy and Wealthy.  Special thanks to mentor JC who share the wisdom, knowledge and care.
